Clark's Store
See info to the right
This store was started by Benjamin R. Clark.  It was first located southwest of town, but moved when the railroad came through. It was sold to his son Frank Jay Clark c1880.  The brick building was built c1905 with insurance money from the death of his wife Ada Izora Combs Clark (died 1904). The small building to the right was a millinery shop operated by Julia Etta Bliss Clark, wife of Benjamin. Benjamin and Julia lived in a house to the south of the store.
